: compiled a comprehensive index of every artist represented at
hundreds of museum sites, image archives, and other online resources.
- You can also find more detailed information on the artist by
looking at
artist monographs (a book all about one artist, such as the catalog from a
major exhibition). They can be found by searching the online library catalog
available from most art libraries.
- You can also find various materials on individual artists from
Artist
Files Artist Files usually include news clilppings, small exhibition brochures
and copies of correspondences. They are usually available in most of the art museum
libraries. You can usually access them by appointment. Please contact individual
libraries of your interest for their access policies.
