I was born and raised in New Britain, CT, a lovely place to grow up. Some of my favorite places were, and remain: the New Britain Public Library (of course) and Walnut Hill Park, designed by Frederick Olmsted. After high school and a year at UConn, I moved to Queens, NY. There, I earned my BS and MS in Computer Science and worked for Grumman Aerospace Corp. Such a delightful company to be a part of. (Bill Vojir - if you happen to read this, please contact me) I left Grumman to raise a family. I remained obsessed with them and stoking the hearth fires until the battle with inertia was won and I took a job as an aide in the local school library. Eureka! I was inspired. (Thank you, Pat) On to Library School at Long Island University, where I completed my MLS.

PROJECTS:

DoCIS    Documents in Computer and Information Science.
DoCIS provides an integrated browsing/searching interface to XML data found in the rclis digital library.  rclis is dedicated to promoting free access to documents in computing and library and information science. The interface was written in XSLT, JavaScript, and Perl. DoCIS is delivered in XHTML 1.0 strict.

History of the Huntington Public Library Huntington Public Library, located in Huntington, NY, has an interesting history that begins in 1759 and continues strongly to this day.
