- What's DoIS? -

DoIS (Documents in Information Science)is a service for finding and downloading the latest research results in Information Science. DoIS is a database of articles and conference proceedings published in electronic format in the area of Library and Information Science.DoIS is a volunteer effort to create a free bibliographic resource of scientific texts specialized in Information Science. DoIS is highlighted in Google's Web Directory for Library and Information Science.

- Who maintains DoIS? -

DoIS is managed by a group of volunteers:

- How to participate? -

The used system is the one that facilitates RcLIS (Research in Computing, Library and Information Science) based on a distributed architecture in which the work of description of documents is distributed between a set of institutions. The institutions, habitually libraries or investigators in a personal view, can participate in several forms, depending if they provide data or documents (Archives) or if they offer final services to the users (Services us DoIS) or, finally, if they offer both.
