Abstract:

[Spanish abstract] El objetivo de este trabajo se centra principalmente en realizar un análisis descriptivo que nos acerque al estado actual de la red como medio desde el que se ofrece contenidos y servicios audiovisuales. Para ello, analizaremos una variedad de ejemplos que a nuestro entender son ampliamente significativos definen a la red como medio que ofrece servicios audiovisuales a sus potenciales usuarios. Asà ­ pues, realizaremos un recorrido en el que incluiremos la descripción e ilustración de ejemplos significativos de estaciones de radio, de eventos en directo y en diferido, por todo ello, y como es acuñado con el nombre de "Webcasting". Por otra parte también nos acercaremos y hablaremos del consu consumo de contenidos audiovisuales a la carta, describiendo el servicio de "Và ­deo bajo Demanda" (VoD). [English abstract] focused on performing a descriptive analysis that approaches us to the current state of the web as a medium delivering audiovisual contents and services. For this purpose, we would analyse a wide range of examples highly illustrative of the present outlook defining the web as a medium offering audiovisual contents to its potential users. Thus, we will go through the web in a trip including enlightening descriptions of radio stations, television offers, prerecorded and life broadcasting of events. Therefore, naturally, we must deal with the process coined as "Webcasting". In addition, we will also deal with à la carte consumption of audiovisual contents, describing websites offering their users the serv service of Video on Demand (VoD).
