Abstract:

[English abstract] I was entrusted to close this conference. After first hesitations and first doubts, in the times of the accession of computers, the authority work has attested more and more as the foundation of the whole library work of recording and creation of accesses. Certainly this stage is helpful for Italy, where practice and knowledge of authority file have for a long time been ignored or neglected. Our conference is the evidence of a lively interest that has been developing for many years now and finally is mature to undertake concrete realizations. [Italian abstract] Mi è stato affidato l'incarico di chiudere il nostro convegno. Dopo le prime incertezze e i primi dubbi, ai tempi dell'avvento dei computer, il lavoro d'autorità si è confermato sempre più il cardin cardine dell'intero lavoro bibliotecario di registrazione e di fornitura di accessi. Grandemente utile è certo, questa tappa, per l'Italia, dove la pratica e la stessa nozione di authority file sono state a lungo ignorate o neglette. Il nostro convegno è la prova di un interesse vivace che si sta sviluppando ormai da parecchi anni e che finalmente si presenta maturo per intraprendere realizzazioni concrete.
