Abstract:

[English abstract] I wish to take this opportunity to give you some information about the National Library in Rome and in particular on the recent requalification and re-organization of spaces and services to the public. With the aim of providing new and adequate services to the users, over the last 3 years the library has gone through a radical process of transformation and re-qualification of spaces and services. The main objective has been to get a modern library, open to Italian and worldwide users, capable of providing quality services, also through an advanced technological infrastructure, at the highest possible level consented by state of art information technology. [Italian abstract] Desidero cogliere questa occasione per dare qualche informazione sulla Biblioteca Nazionale e soprattutto sulla recente riqualificazione e riorganizzazione degli spazi e dei servizi al pubblico. Al fine di fornire nuovi e più adeguati servizi all'utenza, ne negli ultimi 3 anni ha avuto luogo una radicale trasformazione degli spazi e dei servizi. L'obiettivo principale è st stato quello di creare una biblioteca moderna e aperta agli utenti italiani e stranieri, in grado di offrire servizi di qualità , anche attraverso un'infrastruttura tecnologica avanzata, al più alto livello consentito dall'attuale stato dell'arte della tecnologia dell'informazione.
