Abstract:

The world has slipped almost unheralded from the Industrial Age into the Information Age. This emerging information society puts a premium on intelligence; value added knowledge, and the application of knowledge to all processes, products and services. This replaces raw sheer physical strength as an economic asset in today's economy. Information and communication knowledge have therefore become critical components of a successful and prosperous society.
