Abstract:

The "Our Roots, Nos Racines" project is designed to provide online access to Canadian Cultural Heritage materials. The initial phase of the project is digitizing books and placing them online. The University of Calgary was retained to work with the CAREO and the BELLE projects to modify their existing educational object repository to meet these needs. The solution created XML-based IMS container packages of Dublin Core metadata and manifests of all the components that were used to create the online digital books.
