The Internet Studies Research Group (ISRG)
Aslib proceedings 2001 53 (4)110-111 Abstract: This special issue of Aslib Proceedings is given over to the work and thoughts of the ISRG, which celebrates its third anniversary this year. The ISRG began its life at City University in April 1998. It is a multidisciplinary association of researchers and practitioners from the related subjects of information science, computer science, journalism and electronic publishing who have combined to provide a comprehensive and all-round understanding of how the Internet is impacting upon industry, government and society. The Internet had blurred discipline boundaries and turned subjects inside out. To research it successfully an interdisciplinary approach is needed.
