Abstract:

The opening of the Tolbiac site corresponds to a profound development in the recent history of the BnF. The identity of the establishment has been transformed because it has been called upon to play a role in the service of research, and also in the transmission of knowledge, in all areas, to a larger public. The author mentions programming ­ exhibitions and oral, musical and audio-visual events ; production and educational services.
