Principles and cooperation tools : the example of the region Centre

Abstract:

The cooperation agency between libraries of the region Centre always had, beyond its professional vocation, a constructed heritage policy. After the operations of restoration and development, the elaboration of a union catalogue of maps and plans, other horizons are now opened. The national policy of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the creation of regional fundings for acquisition in the libraries redirect the missions of the agency. The complete inventory of printed and graphical documents is a necessary tool for the setting-up of a union catalogue, and for the definition of a coherent conservation policy.
