The circulation of electronic documents

Abstract:

The electronic documents circulation is going to multiply the possibilities of the spreading of works protected by the copyright, with only one barrier in the access : the language barrier. The copyright Ð which tradionally protects the rights of the author Ð is confronted with a new dimension. Whatever may be the legal qualification given to the creation, circulation, and public use of electronic documents consisting of works protected by copyright, the principle remains that the author or his legal successor must authorize such use. The system of collective management appears now to be the appropriate solution.
